Hello,
We have integrated SAC with one of our on premise HANA DB for live connection, wondering what are recommendation for authentication between SAC and HANA DB? do we need to create named users in SAC and also in HANA DB for the business users? any suggestions?

Hi Prasad,
Generally speaking, configuring SSO between SAC and HANA is best so that your users do not get prompted for username and password when they try to access data.
To enable SSO however, you need to use the same IdP for both SAC and HANA. This doesn't seem to be the case because you are asking about creating named users in SAC and HANA for business users. I would advise using the same IdP so that you do not have to manage separate groups of users. For more information on setting up your identity provider in SAP Analytics Cloud, see Enabling a Custom SAML Identity Provider.
If you do not want SSO, then you could consider Tunnel Connection because it may allow you to save SAP HANA username and password with the connection to be used for all business users. Refer to this blog for more details: https://blogs.sap.com/2020/08/02/live-data-connection-to-sap-hana-using-a-tunnel-connection-with-sap...
Hope this helps.
