Attach document to Signavio

I'm trying to figure out a way to attach a document or link to a document to a signavio workflow.  any suggestions are appreciated!

You can attach documents a case to share with the case’s participants. For example, you can upload CVs for
cases in a job vacancy process. Anyone with access to the case can download the uploaded documents.
To attach a document to a case, follow these steps:
1. Open the commenting panel by choosing (comments).
2. Choose (Upload document).
3. Select the file you want to upload.
• The uploaded file is visible in the comment panel and the history panel

i'm not seeing the option to upload a document within the commenting panel. do you do this through the collab hub or from process manager/editor?

i do not have the process governance hub. is that the only place you can attach documents?

Hello Jaime Canarelli,

In a workflow, each type of diagram element can have an attribute, which can be of the data type "Document URL." This allows you to access the attribute while building the workflow and attach a link to any diagram element type with the corresponding attribute you have created. For instance, if you are working in a Business Process Diagram workflow and wish to attach a document to a "Data Object," you will first need to create an attribute.

To proceed, you must have administrative access to define notations and attributes. Begin by selecting the modeling language of your choice (in this case, a Business Process Diagram). Next, choose the diagram element type "Data Object," and under the custom section, create an attribute with the data type set to "Document URL."

Once created, the attribute will be accessible on the left side of the page as you build your diagram. Here, you can upload a link to the document.

that helped, thank you! now, is there a way to see those attached docs when sharing the process diagram with others? do they need collab hub licenses in order to view? ideally, i'd like the links to attached documents to be viewable/clickable within a pdf version of the process diagram but i'm not sure if signavio allows that

i want to be able to send someone a signavio diagram and have attached documents (an excel spreadsheet and a url, specifically) for them to access. basically one place for them to view/retrieve all information relating to the process diagram. any ideas on how this is accomplished?

Hello Jaime Canarelli,

The best practice to share complete diagram is via the collaboration hub. Yet you can share your diagram via the sharing function while modeling in the BPMN format. Your collaborator can access your links if it listed as an attribute in the diagram.
