Ariba CIG Mapping: How to add custom field in the target structure?

Hello Team, 

We have a requirement to map an existing attribute from CIG's cXML ConfirmationRequest document type to S4HANA's orderconfirmationrequest SOAP XML. 

I am pretty new to SAP Ariba CIG and unfortunately, unable to identify how to create a custom target field in the S4HANA target structure. 

Is this possible since most of the blogs online only talk about Extrinsic fields from CIG cXML? I haven't seen any examples yet where the modification is done on the target structure.

We have confirmed that this is not possible. Workaround is to identify an unused field in the target schema to S/4HANA.
