Dear SAP Community,

As we continue to navigate the complexities of migrating our legacy data to the SAP Public Cloud, we have encountered a specific question regarding the migration of open items in the subledger. We are exploring whether it is possible to import open items using an interface instead of the standard upload template. Here are the key points we would like to discuss:

Is it possible to import subledger open items using an interface instead of the upload template?

We are considering the feasibility of using an interface to import subledger open items. Has anyone in the community successfully utilized an interface for this purpose, and if so, what were the benefits and challenges encountered?

Does the SAP Migration Cockpit accept interfaces for open items migration, or must the general and subledger always match using the migration templates?

We are also interested in understanding whether the SAP Migration Cockpit supports the use of interfaces for migrating open items. Is it mandatory for general and subledger data to always match using the predefined migration templates, or is there flexibility in the method of data import?

Understanding the best approach for migrating open items is crucial for the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. We appreciate any insights, experiences, or best practices you can share regarding the use of interfaces versus upload templates for this aspect of the migration process.

Thank you for your support and contributions to this discussion!

Best regards,

Mara

You can do this by using the Communication Arrangements Fiori app. However, you must first deploy the SAP the SAP HANA Cloud instance on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
