API_PRODUCT_SRV Behaviour Illegal Statement Dump

I have requirement to call API_PRODUCT_SRV to update the product plannedprice1incocodecrcy and futureplndprice1valdtydate in my custom application. 

I am getting below dump and unable to post the data using this API. Dump says function cannot be called in background task but this is internal done as a part of standard code. How can I avoid this error

Please help how can I solve this issue and is there any workaround to handle this issue.

@Tisha_Haria Where are you calling the API_PRODUCT_SRV from? Is it from RAP behavior logic?

Did you manage to get this working? I've got a similar problem with API_BATCH_SRV, trying to update batch characteristic values.
