Hi,
I´m looking into the API Management Service of the Integration Suite.
I´ve noticed that when creating an API Proxy, from a service provider, you can load the OData Service Catalog and select the proper service for the API Proxy and the defintion gets imported.
Define Provider - Setting the catalog URL
Discover Service
My question is:
- Is this feature (Discover) intended only for SAP OData Gateways?
- Do any other services providers (non-SAP) provide service catalogs as well?
For example, with these services from the OData Org:
https://www.odata.org/odata-services/
Is there anyway to get the catalog loaded when creating the API Proxy?
If so, how would you set up the provider (Path Prefix and Service Catalog URL) in order to make this feature (Discover) work?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Mikel,
As per my understaning Catlog service is only for SAP related gateway systems.

Hello Mikel,
you could of courser mimic the OData response from the SAP catalog service and expose your own services. However, your implementation would be prone to errors if SAP makes changes to the structure. In the light of likely downwards capability though, you might be ok for some time.
What services would you like to make discoverable?
