Any object to change prices of shipping costs? (ie a BAPI for VI02)

It seems we are a lot different of almost every company in this world (and some of the others) and we cannot use the automatic calculation of shipping costs.

So, I need to create the cost with each subitem's conditions customized.

I've been looking around (and in other places) for things like "BAPI VI01" "FM VI02" "shipping cost change" and any other query string that I've been able to think of with no success.

The most nearly approach I found is a post here with a lot of calls to SD_SCD* function modules, and it seems even more complicated than the batch input I have in mind (in which I must control different tabs, stripes, positions without positioning buttons, etc).

Has anyone found a better approach?
(and no, to win the lottery and leave my position is not an option)

As I cannot find something to "mess" with the shipping conditions, I'm rethinking my options. Maybe someone can lend me a hand, I've found two options up to now: create a condition using anyting (help needed here), to intercept the shipping cost creation and mess with the pricing there (via enhancement or EXIT... any hints there?)

I think we will use the V54B0001 enhancement (SMOD): we'll try to create the shipping cost via BI and then use an EXIT to add the conditions we will need. Wish me luck!
