Alternative for iFrames

Hi ,

We have a portal application with four tabs and each tab links to one XML News iView. We are using iFrame for each tab to include the news iView.

Do we have any other alternative to display the XML News iView without using IFrame?

Please let me know.

Hi,

If i have understood your requirement correctly

If you know the full URL of the XML source (say http:// xml source link then you can create it through XML Iview template option then you need to provide the XML source link only,

in EP7 portal,

Portal content admin->portal content->your project folder->right click -> create iview-with template->choose "XML Iview"->provide name,id->put XML source link then finish and save.

let me know if your requirement is different then what i understood.

Thanks for your reply.

If we want to use XML iView we have to use static path of xml file.

In our case we are using navigation iView which roots to one folder, where all my news (in xml files format) will exist. So, when we execute this iview all news from the folder will be displayed in the iView.

This iView url I am using in iFrame to be displayed in one Tab. Like this we are using different iView urls for different iFrames to be displayed in each tab.

I hope you understood our requirement.

In header part all tabs will be displayed and in body part different iViews will be displyed.

It looks like this Forum editor Tool. Here also we have tabs (Plain Text and Preview)
