AIF monitoring in SAP Integration Suite(Cloud Integration)

Hi Experts,

We are currently using SAP PO/PI 7.5 as Integration platform with in our landscape..

To do AIF(application interface framework) monitoring, to see the end to end message flow from/to S4/ECC regarding outbound/inbound interfaces we have customized Fiori page...

we are using the Fiori page for the following cases..

(i) AIF Messages (ii) AIF Monitoring (iii) Interface monitoring...

In that Fiori page, it shows status of the messages on SAP backend & SAP PO/PI.. also if someone clicks on SAP PO status "hyperlink" of that specific message then it re-directs to the SAP PO monitoring page of that specific message... it is possible to link SAP backend and SAP PO messsage on Fiori page because message ID for outbound messages is same on SAP backend & SAP PO/PI.. it is easier to fetch SAP PO status of the specific message...

We are planning to migrate all the interfaces from SAP PO/PI to SAP Integration Suite(Cloud Integration)..

Now, what are different alternate options available within SAP BTP to cater this requirement..

1. BTP Based Fiori app 

2. SAP Cloud ALM for end to end monitoring..

AFAIK, the option 1) above is expensive since Fiori developers has to put of lot of efforts to build such app for AIF monitoring.. Could option 2) completely replace the above solution implemented in SAP PO/PI?? Could you please let me know which is better option in terms various factors like Cost, efforts, time to develope/implement, SAP recommendation, standard solution etc.., Thank you!

I have the impression that you mix up terms, SAP Application Interface Framework provides monitoring and error resolution capabilities within your SAP backend system, either SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, and is rather addressed to line of business users to fix business related errors. It's not a central monitor like SAP Cloud ALM and it's not part of SAP Integration Suite. Also not sure about your Fiori pages, I am not aware of such a capability in SAP Process Orchestration, so I guess it's custom. Anyway, AIF supports a Fiori UI, not in ECC but in S/4.

If you are looking for a central monitor to monitor your messages that are processed within SAP Integration Suite and your connected systems, I would say go for SAP Cloud ALM, it supports end to end monitoring across your landscape, it also can read AIF messages and correlate messages within the different components within your landscape to each other to be able to trace messages across your landscape.
