Hi All
We have ECC PRD on DB2. We are planning to have ADS server for Adobe forms print out in ECC PRD. Can we have ADS server on Oracle? Will there be any compatibility issue between ECC PRD and ADS server?
Regards
Pankaj
Hi Pankaj,
Can we have ADS server on Oracle?
--ADS comes with NW AS Java, which can be installed on various databases including Oracle. Not a problem.
Will there be any compatibility issue between ECC PRD and ADS server?
--The ECC to ADS is an application level connectivity.
In general, there won't be any compatibility. validate the same in PAM for your ECC version.

- AFAIR you need the Adobe Credentilas for interactive forms.
Just checked on help.sap.com "Specific tasks like filling in interactive PDF forms and saving them, adding comments to forms or signing forms, require the licenced Adobe software Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Professional . The Adobe Reader software available for free to all users, only allows viewing of PDF forms. To make the advanced usage rights mentioned above available to Adobe Reader users, you can apply a Reader Rights Credential to forms. Such a credential is unique to each company"
- In the RFC, 405 is the expected result.
There are several test reports to check the connectivity and functionality of ADS. You can find them on help.sap.com
