Adding image URL to image component in SAP analytics cloud

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to bind image url to image component in SAP SAC but it seems not working as expected.

I did the below steps with no luck.

1. Created script variable and assigned image url to the variable (as below)

2. Added image component and mapped script variable to the image

3. Run the report and its not working.

There is no other options I found to achieve this and tired of searching any reference in google.

This is very simple requirement and easy to do in webi report. 

If anyone have the solution, please advise

Hi there, I've just tested this and it works on my SAC tenant.
Do you have the same problem if you as a test - paste the image url into the default value of the script variable?

Also wondering - you're using a shortened image URL -- does it work with a non-shortened URL?

Thank you for your time testing on this.

1. I have kept the same image url on script variable's default value but still didnt work.

2. Can you elaborate what you meant by a shortened image URL? I use this "https://images.app.goo.gl/gKt8zA6trFH8ZHGt8" image url from google for my testing. My actual requirement is to retrieve the image from sharepoint and display it here in SAC.

3. Can you let me know the source of the url which you used in your testing?

I suspect it's the image / url that's the issue.
When I grab an image is use the 'copy image address' option to grab the full url.

e.g.

https://media.licdn.com/dms/image/D5612AQHD7jTR8yZHSw/article-cover_image-shrink_600_2000/0/17100614...
