Hi Gurus,
Client has asked me to add couple of fields to an already existing Bex report in Production. Can you tell me how to do it ie; I should add in Dev and transport to QA the production. How to load data to those fields. Kindly explain in detail.
Thanks

Hi,
if the data is already at infoprovider level, then u can directly add those fields in the reports.
If the fields are not in bw side, then you need to enhance the data source in sourcesystem, then replicate it to BW side, remodell the cubes and dso's and then add the fields in the report.
These changes are to be done in Dev and transported to quality and production.

Harish.

Hi all,
Since this is a question about BW, it belongs in the BW space and not the Data Warehousing space. I've moved the thread, but please use the BW space for these types of questions in the future.
Also, this seems like a very basic question. For people just beginning to work with BW, it's best to buy a book on the topic and do some self-learning first, or at least research thoroughly online before asking. The rules of SCN do require that we put some real effort into searching and trying to solve the problem on our own before asking. I do realize this is more difficult for beginners, so you may need to put in more effort or ask for help from your consulting company, but it still needs to happen.
This particular question is borderline, so I'm going to let it remain here and I'm not going to remove points awarded, but I'm not sure the same will be true for similar questions tomorrow.

Ethan

if those fields are already there u can check those fields in below Infoprovider and then u can check whether u have data in those fields..
if not see if those fields are mapped in the transformation or not?
if not just map them..in transformation and u can get the data may be by remodelling u can try or u can try reloading through complete historical data.
Thanks and regards
Kiran
