Add User to Group in a Tenant using BI4 REST API

Hi all,

When I add a user to a group using the BI4.2 SP3 REST API then everything works fine. When I try to do the same thing but the group is linked to a tenant (created using the multi tenancy management tool) then the API returns a 'failure' status.

Has anyone successfully added a user to a group that is in a tenant using the BI 4.2 SP3 REST APIs?

Hi Christian , commenting on this after long time. If you can let me know how to create a user using restful webservices sdk that would be great. I checked their SDK Pdf document and there is no method to create or add users per my understanding.

Hi Chistian,

Are you able to perform the same workflow in CMC?

Please add user to user group using CMC (which the one you are trying via REST SDK)

If it is failing in CMC also, then there must be logical error in user and user group assignment.
