Hello,
I have noticed that when transfering Configuation objects from one XI system to another XI system all communication channel metadata are lost.
I have not found a way to preserve these metadata.
I am wondering if there is a way to do this.
Is this issue in anyway connected with the Adapter Objects > Communication Channel Templates in Desing?
Thanks in advance,
Dimitris
I hope this will change in the future.

Hi Dimitris,
After transfering configuration objects from one XI to another Xi system, manually we need to enter the values for channeals.Like Directories mentioned in File channels,Port & RFC destiantions for Idoc Receiver adapters. These parameters are repalced by ?? you need to set the correct parameters for that environment.I feel it is not a diffcult task and not that much time consuming too.
Cheers
Veera

Hi Dimitris,
You dont actually have a way to preserve the communication channel parameters when you do the transport from one system to another. You have to enter them mannually. This is not an issue with Communication channel templates either.
