2LIS_02_ITM custom fields delta not working properly S/4HANA

Greetings SAP experts,

I know that this topic was raised a lot of times before, but many topics are outdated, the links are not working anymore, or I could simply not understand the solution shared.

We are currently facing some delta issues with some custom fields which were enhanced in 2LIS_02_ITM extractor via RSU5_SAPI_BADI by a previous team. The changes do not get reflected properly.

While reading plenty of posts around the community I found out about EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 and EXIT_SAPLEINS_001 customer exits. This might be the key, but I am not sure about the code which should be implemented.

Can someone explain in dummy details which exit should be used in order to make the delta work for our custom fields and share a sample of code which can be further adapted for each field?

I really appreciate your support and I am sorry if I missed any post which could help. I passed through everything which I found out but still didn't understand how to make it work.

The source system is S/4HANA 2022.
