In Q3 2022, we introduced the What’s New Viewer, which made it easier for you to search for and view a list of new and updated features. Published with each SAP Analytics Cloud quarterly release in February, May, August, and November, the What's New Viewer helps you stay informed on the latest changes.

Since the What’s New View was introduced, one key piece of feedback that we received is that customers want a way to anticipate and prepare for potential changes in advance of each new release.

We are excited to announce that starting with the Q1 2025 release, the What's New Viewer will include a preview of upcoming changes, including new features, updates, and deprecations.

What will this look like?

As of the Q1 2025 release, you will be able to easily see the upcoming features thanks to a Preview flag.

To refine the content that is displayed, you can use the filters. For example, by applying the Version filter, only the preview content for the upcoming release will be displayed. Also, if you’re interested in a specific category, you can select a Category filter to display preview content for that category.

When will the preview be available?

The preview of the What’s New Viewer will be available up to one month before each upcoming quarterly release. For the Q1 2025 release, the preview for What’s New Viewer is available now.

Hi @Devan_Gee thank you! Great we can finally see this, but now we can't see anymore the current release (Q4 2024) and previously released items of 2024 or any earlier quarters.

Hi @JefB

Thanks for your comment. We have actually addressed that. Before the table at the top of the What's New Viewer, there's a link to the archived What's New. Just click the link, and you'll have access to all previous What's New content.  I've pasted the text below. I hope this helps.

SAP Analytics Cloud constantly delivers new innovations and enhancements. Check the table below for the latest product updates for recent releases.

This page offers a preview of the new features coming in Q1 2025, to be released in February. If you want to have a look at the features delivered in 2024, including Q4 2024, click the archives link below.

Hi @alessia_pozzi

Good question. I'm not able to provide an exact date and time, like you ask. But I can give you a couple of links to check.

This knowledge base article provide some information on the release and delivery schedule:

2728183 - SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Release & Delivery Schedule

This SAP Note has more information on the harmonized release calendar:

2888562 - Intelligent Enterprise Suite: Harmonized release calendar for SAP Cloud products

I hope this helps.

Have a great day!

@Devan_Gee is it possible to get a little more detail on below item, the roadmap link mentioned seems to refer to another kind of job monitor?
"You can now monitor the jobs created while transporting the content. All jobs related to transport operations (such as Export, Import, Download, and Upload) are listed in the Monitor page"

Hi @JefB

Thanks for your question.

The updated help for the Q1 2025 has not yet been released and will be delivered when the latest SAP Analytics Cloud is released. You'll be able to get the details of this feature then.

For now, use the roadmap link available with the description. If the link as I copied here doesn't work, please go back to the What's New preview and access there. The roadmap provides overview and benefit information of the feature.

You can now monitor the jobs created while transporting the content. All jobs related to transport operations (such as Export, Import, Download, and Upload) are listed in the Monitor page. You can quickly review the import summary from the Status column.

See feature on the roadmap.

Hello @JefB,

You can have a look into help page of job monitor using this link. But there are no screenshots available.

Best regards

@Lothar_Köder @Devan_Gee See I think you both provided links to a different topic "job monitor" and not a new "transport/content monitor" for which details seem to be here in help files https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_ANALYTICS_CLOUD/18850a0e13944f53aa8a8b7c094ea29e/afcd8a9923cf4b0e869fe...

Hi @JefB,

I have been trying to follow up on this since I personally don't know too much about it. If I can get more information before the release, I'll add it here.

Hi @JefB

Transport > Monitor helps to monitor the progress and past transport jobs. It is available from 2024.29 onwards ( Fast Tack ). 2025 QRC1.

Creation of Package, Import of Package, Download / Upload as *.package, Upload/trigger import to/from BTP could transport management service as managed as background jobs. The progress of jobs and status can be monitored here.

Thanks,

@ashokkumar_kn thank you. That's it indeed.

@Devan_Gee I also miss a feature described in KBA 3572515 in the what's new list.
