SAP Asset Performance Management 2401 (1000 × 444 px)green.jpg

Happy new year to you all! In the spirit of continuous enhancement and user-centric innovation, we'd like to update you on the latest usability improvements within SAP Asset Performance Management 2401.

Asset Health Monitoring

Select multiple indicators in the app Technical Objects for Inspection Details

We’ve improved the usability of the Technical Objects with Inspection Details app, you can now select multiple indicators and view their historical readings all in one table. This prevents you having to navigate backwards and forwards to check the readings for different indicators.

In the app, find the technical object for which you want to find the indicator readings and select it to navigate to a details page. Choose Select Indicators and select the indicators for which you’d like to see the readings. The tool then loads the readings in a table, grouped by indicator. You can also export the readings to an Excel spreadsheet which enables you to sort and filter the readings. Here's a quick video:

Asset Reliability Engineering

Extended short descriptions – your RCM, FMEA assessments, and strategy assessments for classes now with a spacious 256 characters

We've made some useful usability improvements by increasing the short description of the assessments to 256 characters in the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) assessment, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) assessment and Strategy Assessment for Classes apps.

For RCM and FMEA assessments we have additionally increased the short description of the function and functional failure codes to 256 characters. This is beneficial because:

  • Better descriptions = better insights: Enjoy the flexibility to articulate your thoughts more thoroughly. The increased character limit enables you to provide richer, more nuanced descriptions for each assessment point.
  • Enhanced communication: The extended short description ensures that everyone involved has a clearer understanding of each assessment, facilitating smoother collaboration.
  • Adapt to growing needs: As your projects evolve, so can your assessments. Extended short descriptions ensure you're ready to handle increased complexity.

Examples

In the RCM Assessment, the short description is displayed in the list view and truncated after 45 characters.
