This blog post introduces the features of the SAP Analytics Cloud 2023.13 release available for SAP Analytics Cloud FastTrack customers. For SAP Analytics Cloud Quarterly Release Cycle (QRC) customers, this release and its features will be available as part of the QRC Q3 2023 release. View the QRC release schedule here.
Although not required, you may upgrade to the latest SAP Analytics Cloud agent version 1.0.379 to take advantage of all data acquisition types.
The agent’s minimum version remains at 1.0.75, with the following exceptions:

We are introducing two new views to the Files page that will display the contents as shown when their filters are applied: (SAP Road Map Explorer)
These new views show files from private, public, and workspace folders.
In the optimized story experience, story designers can now change the order of the story filters, from the filter panel settings. This allows story designers to group similar filters together or put the most important/used ones first. The defined order is applied to the vertical and horizontal filter panel, in view and edit mode, and will be saved with the story.
In optimized story experience, story developers can use script APIs related to story filters and variables to let story viewers change the visibility of the filter panel, set story filters, set story variables, and so on.
In the optimized story experience, we now provide story designers the option to synchronize the scaling of both right and left axes to have related measures on the same scale. The feature will be off by default for both newer and older charts and is available to Combined/Stacked Bar/Column + Line, Line charts.
In the optimized story experience, story designers can now display the option to display external/internal ID’s in charts for BW models.
Limitations:

We’ve made improvements to the variable dialog with the following functional and usability enhancements: (SAP Road Map Explorer)
Users can now search a native SAP Datasphere model by using the search field in the select model dialog. Users can search for a chosen system or space and consume it directly from the Data Analyzer. This update closes feature parity with existing search for SAP Analytics Cloud local models.
For new properties of type “Text” of generic, account, organization, and version dimensions, users can set the maximum text length for the property’s values from 1 up to 5000 characters. For existing properties, you can increase the maximum text length up to 5000 characters. This feature also applies to properties of semantic type “Generic” and data type “Text” of user-managed date dimensions. In stories, very long property values may be displayed in abbreviated form. In mass data entry mode, users can now use the Add Member option to add a dimension member to a table built on an SAP BPC live data model. New combination of existing members can also be created in mass data entry mode. This can only be an existing member in the model; it is not possible to create new dimension members. Users can configure an SMTP server of their choice, for all email deliveries, using the advanced authentication type, OAuth. Before beginning to use OAuth as the Authentication Type, make an OAuth app is created with the necessary scope and permission set to send email via the service provider for the mail services.
Users now have an advanced settings toggle available to hide HTML tags in the translation panel. Once enabled, users will see the texts for translation formatted in the same way as they appear in all stories. This toggled can be turned off if you want to see the HTML tag details in the translation panel. This will simplify the overall translation process for the translator and expedite the overall translation workflow.
