Upgrade to SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0 – Installation Guide and Access the Cloud Studio

Hello everyone,

The most awaited SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0  is now available for access on  SAP Cloud Platform. If you are currently in SAP Intelligent RPA 1.0  and wanted to upgrade to 2.0, here are the steps to be followed. In this blog post, you will understand the below

Step 1:

Note: If you do not have a trial account, Refer to the blog post here to create your trial account. 

If you already using the previous version ie., SAP Intelligent RPA 1.0  , you will have access to the trial account.

Go to the trial account, In the navigation area of your subaccount, click Useful Links -> Tools. The SAP Development Tools page will open in a new window.



Step 2:

Go to the ‘Cloud’ tab and click the Download link in the SAP Intelligent RPA section. This will be at the end of the page.

Before finalizing the installation of SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation, make sure that you already installed the below on your machine

• Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package x86


• Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2019

Step 3:

To install ‘Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package x86’ , go to the link here and click on download

Choose the file and click on Next.

Double click on the downloaded file, setup wizard will open and then click on Install. The setup process will start and after some time the setup will be successful.

Setup of Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package x86 is completed.

 

Step 4:  Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2019

Go to the Microsoft website here and scroll below to search in all downloads.  Search for ‘Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2019’. Select ‘Download’ button at the bottom of the section.

Double-click on the executable file to start the setup process. Accept the terms and conditions and click on Install.

The setup process will start and after some time the setup will be successful.

Step 5:

Now we can install the SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0 desktop agent. Double-click on the executable file downloaded in Step 2. Follow the SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation setup wizard, to install the components.

Select the Desktop Agent component and click on Next. Choose the installation folder or leave it to default location. Click Next.

Click on Install.

It may take couple of minutes to complete the installation. After installation is completed, click on Finish to complete setup.

Access the cloud studio

Step 1 :

Login into the tenant URL ie. Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Factory. Click on the tab ‘Projects’. To start building in Cloud Studio you have to first create a project.

Click on “New Project”.

Step 2:

Enter a name for your project and add a description if needed. To enter the Cloud Studio, you must click on the project. Cloud studio will be opened in a new window.

Step 3:

We have the Cloud studio available now and you can start automating your applications

Now you are all set to start exploring SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0
