In Wikipedia there is a lemma about Cruijffiaans, described as a mixture of football jargon, Amsterdam slang, and one-liners that stand in the middle between paradoxes, insight and truisms (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cruijffiaans).

Few Dutch can sing the national anthem but most can quote Cruyff. You can find a selection on the Johan Cruyff Instagram account, sourced by www.worldofjohancruyff.com.

openHPI and In-Memory Data Management


The very first MOOC about SAP software was taught by Dr. Hasso Plattner himself in 2012 on the topic of in-memory computing. A 6-week course where you can learn everything there is to say about the topic. For the 5th iteration (!) 2017 edition, see:

Over the years, several courses about SAP HANA have been made available (next to a range of other topics) using the same openHPI format. We describe this topic in some detail in the book but not to be missed is:

The short course (2-3 hours) provides a unique insight in the genesis of HANA. According to the website, 85,000 students already enrolled.

SAP Press


SAP Press has published a certification guide about the latest SAP Certified Application Associate test for SAP HANA (C_HANAIMP_15):

Curiously enough, the editor at SAP Press did not favor promoting any of their books, so I will use this blog post instead as Rudi did a great job. Highly recommended!

Also covered in some detail in his chapter is the SAP Developer Center. In particular, their tutorials are first class and a great way to learn about SAP HANA (and many other development topics, of course). The handy tutorial navigator makes it easy to find the right material.
