When connecting with customers and partners from around the world, the #1 question that comes up is what are other organizations doing with SAP technology, products, and solutions? How are they innovating to achieve tangible business outcomes? How can we learn more from our peers?
When the SAP Innovation Awards began seven years ago, we could only imagine the visibility it would achieve in recognizing compelling stories and wonderful accomplishments. The greatest appreciation goes to the participants and their teams, who submit a wide range of entries which continue to amaze us on many levels.
The Impact of the Awards
The SAP Innovation Awards are spotlighted before, during, and after SAPPHIRE NOW 2020 to bring attention to how organizations are transforming their business, driving innovation, and shaping their Intelligent Enterprises.
Max Wessel, SAP Chief Innovation Officer recently commented, “It’s exciting to learn about our customers’ and partners’ ideas and environments which enables their teams to test and scale innovation using SAP technologies. The SAP Innovation Awards represents a lens to view great achievements and remind us that the future should always be centered on our customers’ missions.”
During the SAPPHIRE NOW 2019, we had the honor to celebrate with many customers and partners who shared feedback on the impact of the awards.
Successful Submission Tips
We receive many excellent entries as you might expect, and the ones that stand out are where the submitter (and their team) focus on the pitch deck, and make the extra effort to articulate the challenges, solution, and outcomes in a clear and compelling way. For example:
Many top participants triumphed in 2019 by downloading the winners’ e-book and going through past entries.
Successful applicants take the time to complete the Self-Assessment tool to check eligibility and to receive immediate feedback on their submission, and are encouraged to review the Entry Pitch Deck Instructions and Guidance to get tips for crafting their pitch.
For the Greater Good
With every verified entry, a donation of $100 will be made to a charity selected by SAP up to a total of $20,000! For the 2020 awards, two very deserving organizations were selected:
- Teach For All - Develops collective leadership to ensure all children have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
- Blue Rose Compass - Dedicated to giving gifted young refugees from around the world the opportunity to develop their talents and become agents of change.
