This week, SAP released the latest support package for SAP Single Sign-On 2.0. Support Package 6 contains a number of new features and functions as we continuously enhance the product to fulfill customer requests and upcoming security demands. New features include:

Certificate Lifecycle Management for ABAP Application Servers

  • Automated renewal of certificates for SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP using Secure Login Server (see SAP Note 2194174)
  • Reduces manual efforts and prevents downtime

One-Time Password Authentication / Two-Factor Authentication

  • Support of RSA SecurID passcodes
  • Support of other external passcode validation services

Mobile Single Sign-On

  • Provisioning of X.509 client certificates, issued by Secure Login Server, to iOS mobile devices

SAP Authenticator / Mobile Single Sign-On

  • Automated configuration and activation (incl. security token, business applications, etc.)
  • Reduces manual efforts for end users via automated self-service
  • Administrator can centrally enable mobile devices for single sign-on

Risk-Based Authentication

  • Library with ready to use policy scripts for easy and quick implementation of common security scenarios

Cloning of Secure Login Server Configuration

  • Better support for Secure Login Server instance cloning and load balancing by introducing client profile URL aliases. For more information, read stephan.andre's blog.

Secure Login Client

  • Support for Windows 10
