This is an overview of the SAP S/4HANA offering in SAP Cloud Appliance Library. We have a set of solutions and product versions that we offer on a regular basis and others that are delivered for dedicated purposes like trainings or product launches. This blog focuses on the SAP S/4HANA solutions that come on a regular basis.

At the end of the blog you will find a table comparing the solution content and their use cases:

    • SAP S/4HANA (plain vanilla) (Appliance Template)
    • SAP S/4HANA, fully-activated (Appliance Template)
    • Enterprise management layer for SAP S/4HANA (Appliance Template)

SAP S/4HANA solutions

SAP S/4HANA (plain vanilla)

… an appliance including a standard SAP S/4HANA system and an optional remote desktop for easy frontend access. The only polishing it brings is a pre-configured and activated SAP S/4HANA Fiori UI in client 100, with prerequisite components activated.

Use it for scenarios where you need a fresh system like you have it after installation without post steps. You can start from scratch and try what is new looking at tables, transactions and other updates in the new release.

Latest version and all details: SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS01

We add one solution per Release and FPS to the catalog, usually a month after the general release date of the software.

SAP S/4HANA, Fully-Activated

… is the most comprehensive SAP S/4HANA appliance. It contains the fully-activated SAP Best Practices for all available countries and is enhanced by further demo scenarios in areas where no SAP Best Practices exist. SAP Fiori and sample master & transactional demo data for the US localization are also included. This makes it ideal for exploring the possibilities of SAP S/4HANA during a  proof-of-concept (PoC) or all situations where a sandboxing environment is needed in on-premise or private cloud projects Besides SAP S/4HANA, the appliance also contains a Windows frontend server, a JAVA server and an SAP BusinessObjects platform.

Latest version and all details: SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS01, Fully-Activated Appliance

We add one solution per major release and feature package stack (FPS) to the catalog, usually around 8-10 weeks after the general release date of the software.

Enterprise Management Layer for SAP S/4HANA

… a preconfigured appliance landscape allowing a preview of the enterprise management layer.

The enterprise management layer is a service, ideal for new and existing customers operating in multiple countries and looking for a global template with enhanced end-to-end business processes, localized for up to 46 countries that can be used as the foundation for their productive landscape or as a sandbox.

To familiarize yourself with the enterprise management layer, we offer here a generic (not customer-specific) ready-to-use solution that includes the standard and optional scope.

We generally add two versions per year.
