This month marks the last episode before the biggest SAP tech event of the year – SAP TechEd will take place on Nov 2 and 3, so just 7 days from now! Still haven’t registered. Worry not! There is still time for you to join us onsite in Bangalore or virtually from the comfort of your own home 😊 Or you can still join one of the watch-and-code meetups hosted by our amazing SAP Community members.

But I digress, back to the innovations shared this month for SAP BTP Innobytes October 2023:

  • SAP Analytics Cloudmaximilianpaul.gander is back sharing an update about multi-actions. You’ll see how integration of our SAP portfolio is crucial to enable end to end use cases.

  • SAP Business Accelerator Hub – new name, new features. aaditya.nigam shares the new artifacts you can find on the “hub” and how “domains” makes the user experience just that much better.

  • SAP Private Link service – already GA for Azure, but now also on AWS! Anh shares how this can be useful for customers!

Data & Analytics Innovations on SAP BTP

SAP Analytics Cloud – New Public API for Multi-Actions

With SAP Analytics Cloud, we are the analytics and planning service provider for SAP BTP. And with that we are the analytics and planning engine for most of SAP’s entire portfolio. This is why integration is of utmost importance to us.

With the release of a public API for multi-actions, which are the layer to orchestrate your technical workflows in SAP Analytics Cloud, we’ve enhanced our integration capabilities. Multi-actions are super flexible and with that you can trigger actions inside and outside of the product.

Thanks to this integration you can build powerful cross-product and cross-LOB use cases. Let’s imagine a planning process in which you plan new hires. You'd like to add an approval step and push the final data to your HR system to kick start the operational processing. Thanks to this new innovation, you can integrate your planned data into SAP Build Process Automation (on SAP BTP), manage the approval workflow there and route the approved data to SAP SuccessFactors.

But this is the just the beginning. We are planning to add further capabilities to also integrate planning processes managed with the SAP Analytics Cloud calendar into these workflows. Stay tuned and look forward to integrated planning scenarios!

Integration Innovations on SAP BTP

New SAP Build content in SAP Business Accelerator Hub

We're excited to share that SAP Build artifacts like Task Automation, Business Processes, Actions and Automations are now available on the SAP Business Accelerator Hub.

The SAP Business Accelerator Hub (formerly known as SAP API Business Hub) allows SAP BTP customers and partners to leverage enterprise-grade, pre-built accelerators to reduce the time to value, the total cost of ownership, and risk associated with implementing their business processes.

Both https://hub.sap.com/ and https://api.sap.com/ will take you to the same place. Your choice!

And what else is new? We introduced a new concept called domains. Domains enhance the browsing experience for a specific persona. We launched two new domains: integration and build.

Application Development Innovations on SAP BTP

SAP Private Link – Now on AWS

As companies digitize, the challenge of data security grows more acute. But SAP BTP is there to support our customers with this challenge! We’re thrilled to announce the general availability of SAP Private Link Service on AWS.

This enhancement enables you to create secure and private connections directly from your SAP BTP applications deployed on the Cloud Foundry runtime with an expanded list of services on Azure and now AWS. Enjoy the benefits of enhanced security as you can bypass the public internet, meaning your data remains completely within the hyperscaler secure network. And with this you can achieve protection and efficiency for your business scenarios.

And we're not stopping here. We'll be sharing more supported scenarios and services for example Kyma runtime or extension to GCP infrastructure in the near future. Check out these links to learn more:
