I am really excited to announce that new release 3.5.3 for SAP Advanced SQL Migration tool is available since February 2024 with interesting enhancements and updates.

We are providing updated documentation and details about this tool in the official SAP community:

New features and enhancements in version 3.5.3:

1.- SAP ASE support as source databases. Both on-prem (v.15.7 / v.16) and BTP ASE Neo supported.

2.- SQL Server fixes:

    • Object ownership issues.
    • Common Table Expressions in triggers conversion issues.
    • Extraction from text files failing in some cases when 3-parts names are used.
    • PKs + FKs not properly converted in some circumstances.
    • Drop table/index if exists conversion implemented. 

3.- Foreign key conversion issues from different sources fixed.

4.- New parameter id #232 (Convert BIT data type as BOOLEAN) added for SQL Server and SAP ASE

5.- NVARCHAR length adjusted when converting to SAP Hana and Hana Cloud to avoid data migration issues.

6.- Free Open Source components for the Gateway upgraded to latest version.

7.- General conversion improvements for all source/target database combinations.

8.- Internal improvements
