We are excited to announce the general availability of our SAP Signavio August 2024 release.
The main benefits of this release include the following:
- Efficiently manage initiative-related tasks in one principal place while collaborating and fostering teamwork within an initiative
- Improve productivity and save time by eliminating side chats and e-mails, ensuring ownership and accountability via proper assignments and in-tool task tracking
- Perform faster process modeling and gather AI-driven recommendations based on proven industry best practices
- Leverage the simplified connection between business problem, affected process and relevant metric to be measured through new AI-capabilities
In this release, we are launching new process AI capabilities for process and performance enhancement, in the context of process excellence transformations.
Additionally, we deliver a new capability, task management, in SAP Signavio Process Transformation Manager. With this new capability, customers can now manage tasks related to their initiatives. This includes the ability to create and update tasks with details such as title, description, assignee, and status. Users can also view tasks associated with an initiative, perform basic filtering, and assign, reassign, and mark tasks as complete within an initiative.
Highlights from the August 2024 release are summarized below:
New process AI capabilities
Companies typically spend significant effort and costs to define and enhance their processes in transformation and process excellence initiatives. With this release, we introduce two new AI capabilities aimed at helping process owners and process analysts accelerate process model design, more readily define their process monitoring strategy, and improve the quality of business outcomes :
AI-assisted process recommender
Enterprises often run internal, lengthy and resource-intensive workshops and stakeholder interviews to determine how a brand-new or improved process should look like. This new capability provides AI-generated business process model recommendations, bypassing the need for lengthy consultation sessions. It allows process owners to move faster from the initial research phase to process design, instantly narrowing down thousands of options to those that represent the best match for the business. More specifically, process owners can obtain ready-to-consume process model recommendations out of a database of 5000 best practices from SAP. This sets up process owners with a great foundation they can interact with and further perfect.

AI-assisted performance indicators recommender
Identifying key process metrics amongst a variety of options is critical to measure success. Using the ‘same old process indicators’ to monitor newly designed processes can lead to misleading decisions. This capability can recommend the most relevant measures to assess the performance of a business process, providing companies with much-needed insight into how they can streamline operations and reduce overhead.

With the August 2024 release, SAP Signavio Process Insights is releasing the following highlights:

Correction recommendations for process flows and potential blockers
For Process Analysis and Mining, we introduce new correction recommendations in SAP Signavio Process Insights. The first is correction recommendations for process flows and potential blockers designed to help transformation managers and process owners optimize their processes by automatically highlighting improvement opportunities and identifying frequent blockers. This update shows recommendations at a granular level within process flows and highlights the relationships between recommendations, performance indicators, and process-flow context. By implementing these recommendations, users can positively impact multiple metrics, ensuring a more business-centric approach to process optimization.
Ability to filter correction recommendations
Another update closely related to correction recommendations is the ability to filter correction recommendations. With the new filtering capability, users can analyze the detail list of correction recommendations with the same root-cause analysis tools available for standard performance indicators and process flows. Users can drill into the details of items that require improvement, identify the greatest improvement potential, and understand the monetary impact of affected business objects. By applying filters to detail lists for correction recommendations, businesses can more effectively target and address inefficiencies, leading to more streamlined and impactful process optimization.
Integration with SAP Customer Relationship Management as a source system
We are excited to announce the integration of SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) as a source system. SAP CRM offers a wide range of advantages for optimizing customer interactions. This integration provides new standard performance indicators and process flows specifically for sales and services in SAP CRM. This update supports customer evolution initiatives to move SAP CRM customers to SAP Customer Experience, ensuring that businesses can leverage comprehensive data to enhance customer interactions and drive value.
Personal analysis dashboards
Announcing the introduction of personal analysis dashboards: The new dashboards leverage over 3,000 metrics to help you analyze your processes and pinpoint the root causes of business issues. You will now be able to collect and access your most relevant metrics in one convenient location, directly from the start page. This update allows you to understand how specific metrics evolve over time, define parameters for displayed metrics, and use saved filters to narrow down your analysis further. Experience a more streamlined and insightful approach to process analysis with SAP Signavio Process Insights by leveraging the personal analysis dashboards. (available in the November 2024 release)

You can consume SAP Signavio Process Intelligence insights from 3rd party applications such as business intelligence tools and automation engines, making it easier to derive value and enhance democratization overall. This opens new possibilities, increases adoption and observability by leveraging process mining across a spectrum of applications and use-cases.

From this release onwards, users can experience the new and powerful UI capabilities for Process Analytics directly within the product, without the need to first opt-in. To further ease the transition toward the new user interface, we have integrated a user guidance overlay leveraging the SAP Companion technology. SAP Companion, as used in SAP Signavio Process Intelligence, provides in-app help and guided tours, supporting walk-throughs of functionalities and usage scenarios.

We are also excited to introduce Introducing our new code comparison feature. : Now, data modelers can easily compare query definitions of the same data view or case-/event-collector, enabling them to quickly identify differences and make informed decisions.
