It has been a long development cycle this time for Business Process Monitoring...and that is also reflected in the number of new monitoring objects and key figures that will be shipped end of April 2010. This blog will just give an overview about what is new. The large majority of these key figures will be shipped with the new ST-A/PI plug-in 01M* which will be availalbe for download under (SMP login required) http://service.sap.com/supporttools . Some of the described functionality will be part of the new ST-SER release 701_2010_1 and for some features the new support package for the ST-PI plug-in will be required.
A complete list/catalog of all available out-of-the-box key figures is available as MS PowerPoint presentation under (SMP login required in both cases)
Remark: On slides 3 and 4 (Table of Content) you can find hyperlinks where you can directly access the respective chapter of interest.
Besides all the different new monitoring objects and key figures also other enhancements will be provided, especially when it comes to auto-reaction methods. With the new ST-SER plug-in 701_2010_1 it will be possible to
Since 2008 a SAP BW-based trend reporting for Business Process Monitoring is available (see New Business Process Monitoring functionalities in SAP Solution Manager - BPMon Trend Analysis Repor... from Marc Siebert). Now we will take it to the next level and provide an alternative Business Process Analytics application based on SAP BW. This WebDynpro application allows the benchmarking, trend analysis and age analysis of key figures provided by Business Process Monitoring. Additionally it will be possible to navigate from this pplication into the list of backlog documents on the corresponding backend system.
