You need to take action!

As you are most likely already aware, SAP has updated the support backbone infrastructure and will switch off the legacy infrastructure on January 1st, 2020.

Many customer systems, especially SAP Solution Manager systems and systems using SAP Note Assistant, are connected to the support backbone to exchange data. All relevant information is available at the landing page.

New checklists available

For SAP Solution Manager, we have recently released checklists which exactly describe what you have to do to make sure your system is properly connected to the new backbone infrastructure.

Download here

These checklists are available for support package stacks 5 through 9, and can be downloaded here.

Despite the recommendation to update SAP Solution Manager to SP07 or higher, some customers might not be able to conduct the update before January 2020. Therefore, we also have released checklists for SP05 and SP06 which will ensure connectivity to the new backbone infrastructure for these releases. There are functional limitations (described on the landing page and in the overview presentation), but these checklists ensure the connectivity for the available functionality.

Also available: Checklists for multi-customer scenarios

There are special checklists available for customers and partners using the multi-customer scenarios in SAP Solution Manager (VAR / PartnerEdge sell partners, Partner Centers of Excellence (PCOE) etc.). They can also be found on the checklist page.

If you have any feedback on the checklists, please feel free to leave a comment below this blog!
