There’s a new learning opportunity for you at SAP TechEd && d-code: the Developer Garage. This pre-conference activity will make it easier for you to take actual developer and trial versions of select software home with you.
Developer Garage @ SAP TechEd && d-code
- Las Vegas: Monday, October 20, 2:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
- Berlin: Monday, November 10, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
SAP experts will be on hand to help you download, install, and get up and running with select SAP development tools and environments:
- SAP HANA Cloud Platform
- SAP Web IDE (formerly SAP River Rapid Development Environment)
- SAP Mobile Platform – Developer Account
- SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse
- SAP Lumira Desktop
The idea for the Developer Garage came about during a planning meeting back in February with the SAP TechEd && d-code content development team. Our track leads – many of whom are also conference speakers – noted that oftentimes they need to spend precious time at the beginning of the hand-on workshop sessions explaining how to download and install the software that will be used during the sessions. They do this to ensure attendees know how to get up and running on their own systems after the event, even though they’re using pre-configured laptops during the sessions and not all attendees may need such a tutorial.
Then we had an epiphany! Let’s give attendees the opportunity to receive guided assistance setting up key SAP software on their own laptops before they even set foot in the hands-on workshops. Let’s ensure our attendees are successful by providing experts to help them with the actual download and installation. Plus we’ll likely free up valuable time in the workshops to actually complete the hands-on exercises.
The Developer Garage idea was born!
We invite you to take advantage of the Developer Garage at SAP TechEd && d-code. Check out the pre-requisite information to ensure your laptop is properly configured for the software. And, of course, make sure you bring your laptop with you to Las Vegas and/or Berlin!
