Greg Smith, CIO of Missouri University of Science & Technology, shared a blog on how researchers Drs. Tayo Obafemi-Ajayi, Bih-Ru Lea, and Donald Wunsch are leveraging SAP HANA for insights in their research on autism.
In addition, students are now incorporating data into their course projects from Missouri S&T's Autism gene mapping research project, which is a university research project that Greg Smith's IT DBA staff are collaborating on in order to learn how to better support SAP HANA.
Missouri University of Science & Technology is a long time member of the SAP University Alliances program, leveraging SAP software in academic teaching. Last year the university also purchased a productive use license for SAP HANA, to enable research on HANA, and with an eye to exploring opportunities to enhance university operations. At the same time Greg Smith's vision is to enable students to increase their understanding of the potential of SAP HANA for Business Intelligence support for their academic projects.
