Some SAC customers asked me if it would be possible to transport recurrent calendar tasks (like data/multi actions tasks) cross tenants.

With the Q4.2024 SAC release (Plan Process Management - template support) it is possible but there are some steps that need to be followed in order to do that.

First you need to create a process on the Source Tenant and include the Data/Multi Action tasks within that (You will need to remove the recurrence to do that):

After creating the process, please create any general task with the left checkbox for the process selected:

You can select the Context Model for the task

Select the process again and now click on Save as Template

Save it on the folder that you are planning to transport (where the model and other objects are located)

Now it can be selected as an object for export within the transport menu

Proceed with the transport as usual and you will see the template saved on the target tenant:

Open the Process Template and click on Create Process from Template:

Now you should have a process with the calendar tasks on your calendar:

If you need to put recurrence on the calendar task you should remove the parent dependency from it:

OR

Now the Add Recurrence button should be enabled:

Configure the recurrence as required and update the task

The generated process can be deleted in case you don’t need it anymore:

Go to the Series Menu and rename it accordingly

Now you should have your Calendar Tasks transported properly.
