How to Create, Enhance and Adapt Floorplan Manager Applications for SAP_UI 7.57

n this blog I would like to draw your attention to a new version of the Floorplan Manager Adaptation Guide, which is valid for SAP_UI 7.57 (delivered with ABAP Platform 2022 as part of SAP S/4HANA 2022).

In this guide, you will get an overview of the different possibilities that Floorplan Manager provides for customer adaptations and discusses their advantages and drawbacks.

We have four main ways to adapt a Floorplan Manager application:

1. Customizing


2. Deep-Copy


3. Enhancement


4. Context-Based Adaptation

With the evolution of the SAP Fiori design system, the new visual theme Horizon led to a visual revision of the Floorplan Manager runtime. In addition, Web Dynpro ABAP is replacing authorization object S_WDR_P13N by S_WDR_ADM.

Finally, SAP plans to sunset the features of SAP Screen Personas regarding Web Dynpro ABAP applications with the next release, therefore it is not recommended to apply SAP Screen Personas in the context of this UI technology any longer, see also SAP Note 3239603.

The document closes with a Best-Practices Chapter that will support you in making the right decisions and in applying the right adaptation technique to the situation on-site.

just to be on the safe side here: There is no dedicated How to Create, Enhance and Adapt Floorplan Manager Applications for SAP_UI 7.58  guide, right?

Any significant additions to the 7.57 Guide ?

Hi Jens,

for SAP_UI 758 you can use this guide, too. There are no significant changes compared to SAP_UI 757.
