SAP BTP Solution Diagram is finally released to harmonize the domain specific architectural diagrams on SAP Business Technology Platform. Though it wouldn't be a detailed blog, I'll list down some important points and references on it.
So, what' new & different :
- Diagram Harmonization on all the BTP offerings.
- Can serve architectural diagram creation on different use cases. Has three layered levels : L0, L1 & L2 to cater different expectations of recipients.
- Reusable diagram structures
- Can be used with raw.io or Microsoft PowerPoint.

How to use : SAP BTP Solution Diagrams can be used in two different ways as follows:
- draw.io - The recommended option. It is an online diagram software for making flowcharts, process diagrams, org charts, UML, ER and network diagrams. it can be installed from Releases · jgraph/drawio-desktop (github.com) & upon installing, SAP BTP Solution Diagram libraries need to be imported from https://github.com/SAP/btp-solution-diagrams.git .
- Microsoft PowerPoint - Microsoft PowerPoint can also be used with some limitations. The custom shapes and guidelines are present in this template https://d.dam.sap.com/a/e7KMGSu?rc=10
