Automate the extraction of relevant information from contract documents with Document Information Extraction with Generative AI (premium edition) by leveraging the capabilities of Large Language Models, ensuring faster, more accurate document processing with significantly reduced processing costs.
Document Information Extraction Service does not come pre-configured with support for custom document type - Contract. So, let us create a custom schema utilising Large Language Models (LLMs) to specify the fields we wish to extract from the supply contract document.
Access Document Information Extraction Application as described in the tutorial Use Trial to Set Up Account for Document Information Extraction and Go to Application and create new schema.
Access the supply contract schema and add fields at header and line item level.
Note:
LLMs are used to extract the data from the document when you use setup type auto.
Tip:
When adding field names and descriptions, consider yourself explaining what you want to extract to someone who doesn't know anything about it already.
The better you describe the information that you want to extract using generative AI, the better your results will be.
Similarly, fields can be added at line item level.
Now, activate the supply contract schema.
Upload the contract document (sample below) using the newly created supply contract schema.
With the Schema Configuration feature from Document Information Extraction and LLMs, we have now successfully extracted information from a supply contract document without the need to create any templates.
Similarly, Document Information Extraction with Generative AI can be utilised for extracting structured information from other types of contracts.
