What if the desired data source is not listed?

  • Syslog is de facto a standard in the industry. Therefore you can check in the documentation if your application or service is supporting Syslog?

  • In case your application or service does not support Syslog it is possible to integrate log or trace files in Syslog or Rsyslog configuration. This means within Syslog or Rsyslog configuration it is possible to define the application log or trace, which then can be forwarded to SAP ITOA.

  • Check if the SAP Host Agent software can help to fulfill the customer requirements.

  • Check if your application or service supports REST API? The REST API is also a common interface, which can be used to receive data or to push data (by example in SAP ITOA it is possible to create support tickets via API's)

  • Please don't hesitate to contact us (sapitoa@sap.com) in case your application or technology layer is not represented.
