Prerequisite:

  1. You have an IAS with the admin account.
  2. You have the permission to access SF provisioning.
  3. The instance can configure the SSO manually. (Newly created instance can't configure SSO manually. They must run SPC process to enable the integration)

Steps:

Go to IAS tenant settings(under Applications & Resources). Choose SAML 2.0 Configuration. Mark the value I marked by red rectangles.

Go to SF provisioning, fill the data as below:

Go back to IAS. Choose Applications:

Create a new SAML application. Keep other values default.

Set url as "https://qacand.hcm.ondemand.com/saml2/SAMLAssertionConsumer?company=AFTTeamsM"

Set Name Id to Login Name:

Keep other settings default.

Enable SSO in provisioning. Then try it.

Hi

I wonder why you're recommending this approach...There's a whole community and a bunch of docs from SAP providing guidance to migrate SF to IAS and this is done by a specific process in the SF Upgrade center, not manually like you're describing
