How often have you struggled with the documentation for our security products here at SAP? You can't find what you are looking for? When you do find it, you can't make heads or tails of it? Or it is so general that it can't be applied to you situation? Well I have some good news for you.
There are about a dozen of us, authors and translators, working on guides and UI texts for security products at SAP. We want to understand your situation better and provide you with the information you need. To do this, we have started a customer engagement initiative. Let me explain how it works.
In calendar week 49 of this year, we will host a call and introduce to you a series of sub projects relating to our different products: SAP Single Sign-On, SAP Identity Management, security functions of SAP NetWeaver Application Server, SAP Mobile Documents, SAP Cloud Identity, and SAP Enterprise Threat Detection. We will pitch our projects to you. You get to choose which one interest you. Each project will run a little different. You might be asked to review a specific part of the documentation on a new feature. You might be asked to fill out a survey. I myself will have a short demo and solicit feedback on a new way of delivering TCP/IP port documentation. Whichever subprojects you decide to work in, you will be asked to provide feedback on what we present to you. When the subprojects are complete, there will be a final call to summarize the results. Your input will have a direct impact on the way we provide user assistance for these products.
