It was a long week, but it went by so quickly!  From the first show night on Sunday when we were unexpectedly visited in our booth by so many interested potential customers, to the last day - yesterday - when we had a long anticipated, in a last time slot of the show, session with live demos presented by SAP and Microsoft jointly, we were very busy.  We were answering questions, showing demos, sharing our information, asking questions in turn, conducting sessions, and having some fun in the evenings.

I wish I had more time to look at what other partners were doing, to attend more sessions… But cannot complain, I greatly enjoyed getting to know my Microsoft colleagues, and everybody from Microsoft we interacted with, made us feel welcome and at home, as though we were working for the same company, We are definitely working together better than ever, and we know that we are better together!  On this picture: Microsoft-SAP party, with friends from MSFT and SAP:

Here is a quick recap of a few impressions while they are fresh in memory:

When I noticed an iPad in a keynote video and then heard ‘iPad, iPhone, Android’ I found it hard to believe, but it was true.  Microsoft is changing, it is becoming more open to other technologies, platforms, it is welcoming collaboration with technologies and companies that were previously viewed purely as competitive.  In this interconnected world we all have to work together for the better future.  And of course it was refreshing to start the show with a very inspiring speech by Bill Clinton focused on how technology can help to improve the world.

Back to our booth it was great to get validation directly from tens of customers that our new product, SAP Gateway productivity accelerator for Microsoft, answers their needs, and is welcomed with enthusiasm. So nice to see ‘Wow’ reaction and answer questions ‘where can I get this’! Of course there was lots of interest towards our previously released product, Duet Enterprise.  This event confirmed that we are on the right track with our products

I had a privilege to present a conference session PT009 that took place on Tuesday.  The partner theater seats could not fit all interested in attending, and I watched a growing line of people standing in the back. For the rest of the show attendees stopped by to follow up on this session where I presented our new offering, GWPAM, alongside with Duet Enterprise, and BI connector, giving the overall story of SAP-Microsoft interoperability.

We bonded with our BI colleagues we were sharing our booth with, on this picture our first night of the show, a quiet moment:

BI connector allows connecting SAP Business Objects BI with Microsoft Power BI for the benefit of our joint customers; our family of solutions bridging the worlds of SAP and Microsoft is growing!
