Once again it’s time for a new blog about the news and contributions in the space of SAP Decision Service Management (DSM) and Business Rule Framework plus (BRFplus).
New mentor jocelyn.dart needed to calculate dates and times using a factory calendar. No problem! She documented how date and time calculations work with some examples. She also explained how a factory calendar can be used.
After doing some performance analysis in a customer system, I took the opportunity to write a blog about it. In the blog, you will find important notes, a simple check to identify a common performance problem, and other tips.
wolfgang.schaper and regina.weidemann have recorded a video that shows the TechEd 2013 exercises and solutions for the session CD160: SAP NetWeaver Decision Service Management – A Paradigm Shift (Hands-on). The video is very explicit and instructional.
This is the premiere blog of daniel.ridder from AOK Systems and it’s not a bad one at all. We had some working sessions on how to best use BRFplus and how to further improve it for their scenario. It’s very kind of him to share his experience in the blog.
SAP Transportation Management is a product that has nicely integrated BRFplus. Credits go to bernd.dittrich and his team. In the guide, starting at 4.3, you can see how it’s done. I know of several customers that frequently use BRFplus rules in SAP TM.
Thanks sergio.locatelli2 for posting this blog. Using DSM/BRFplus in combination with Business Warehouse is a common pattern that had not yet been described.
jrgen.lukasczyk uses examples to explain how expressions can be nested.
rajwin.sood from Atos contributed a nice document with a step-by-step illustration of how business rules are created and used in the business logic of the SAP CRM WEBUI framework.
christian.lechner has already shown a very high level of expertise commenting on questions in the forum. I am happy to see that he is also blogging on SCN now. In the blog, he provides some additional information about the trace visualization as published here.
This blog is very different from most of the other blogs.
siva.pabbaraju shares his new knowledge of BRFplus.
Anubhav Oberoy has uploaded many trainings on YouTube; this time about BRFplus. He has a very unconventional style of explaining things while drawing and typing in PowerPoint or creating objects in the system.
--- German only ---
AOK Systems uses BRFplus in many processes. Find out more about it here.
There is a German webinar by Lukas Bretschneider on September 19, 2014. The webinar is conducted in German. Please contact me if you would like to attend a webinar in English.
For several years now I have been in contact with Patrick Müller from epsFlow. epsFlow is a Walldorf-based consulting company focusing on variant configuration. They also support customers that want to combine variant configuration with BRFplus. I am also in touch with other consultants and maybe you will hear more about the combination of variant configuration and DSM/BRFplus soon.
