We hear your feedback and are delighted to announce the General Availability of 'Edge Integration Cell,' an essential capability of the SAP Integration Suite. All existing and new Integration Suite standard and premium edition customers can enable it, and further licensing details can be found at Discovery Center.

What Is SAP Integration Suite Edge Integration Cell?

While hybrid integrations are already possible with Integration Suite and cloud connectivity, Edge Integration Cell is the new flexible hybrid integration runtime. It is an optional extension to SAP Integration Suite, enabling customers to manage APIs and run their integration scenarios within customer-managed private landscapes. This containerized runtime option works in both customer-managed data centers and private clouds.

It means customers with heterogeneous and distributed environments have greater flexibility and control over integrations and APIs while meeting strict enterprise architecture requirements.

Edge Integration Cell enables customers to:

  • Run integrations in your private landscapes locally to meet regulatory compliance needs

  • Connect remote locations (warehouses, factories etc.) with intermittent internet connectivity.

  • Create, centrally manage, and monitor all of your integrations with the ease of the cloud.

  • Use one platform with proven enterprise-grade capabilities to consolidate your landscape.
