There have for a long time been a need for collaborating regarding sharing of stories, files, models and applications in SAP Analytics Cloud.
You can of course share everything in a folder, and then navigate to that folder every time - but if you are many small teams using SAP Analytics Cloud, it has been difficult to do this in an easy way.
In this blog post, I will learn you how this is done in an easy manner, using Workspace Management.
You start by creating a Workspace - you find this is the left-hand menu, under Workspace Management
Once you have given the workspace a name, you have to assign the workspace to a specific team, a group of people who can use the workspace. You can also assign other admin than yourself - which is always a good idea.
When the workspace is created and assigned to a team, the team members can now use the workspace - so every time a team member will create a story, model or application - the team member can select to create the object in the workspace or in the regular filesystem.
Once the content have been created, the users can consume the content by selecting the workspace, and the content can also be published to the Catalog like normal content.
So in order to increase collaboration, a team can share a workspace rather than a folder in the filesystem - they can share models, stories, files and applications and they don't need to remember a long file path to find the sub-folder.
