Many wonder , what this excel imaged component does.
Developers who tend use many formulas in excel usually encounter the scenario of circular-referencing. This component is used for avoiding that.
I have just taken re-known scenario, which shows the use of it.
Suppose the drill down is happening in a stacked column chart of stacked bar chart and this chart shows the trend of the product groups across the months.
On drilling down the user wants to see the detailed data for that particular month.
In this scenario, the stacks are not drilled down but instead the axis label is used to drill down further. This type of case cannot be achieved without the use of source data component.
