What is Central User Administration (CUA)?
CUA is a SAP system to which all the SAP systems in landscape are connected through RFC connections. This enables user to perform user maintenance for all the connected systems from one central CUA system. It is very useful in a large landscape consisting number of SAP systems; it becomes very convenient job for performing user administration for all connected systems via CUA.
Portal Role mapping to ABAP group
Step 1: Create an ABAP Group

Go to PFCG T-Code | |
Specify a Role name | |
Menu Role -> Create -> Role | |
- Provide description - Leave destination field blank - Save | |
Once created perform “Text Comparison for CUA system” from Environment Menu |
Step 2: Portal role mapping to ABAP group

Once you have done Text Comparison for CUA system. ABAP group will be visible in portal under User administration. | |
- Select Group - Click assigned roles - Click modify | |
Search for role, add and save |
Step 3: Assignment of Portal role to user
It is very simple task. Follow below steps:
1. Log into CUA system
2. Go to SU01 T-code
3. Specify user and modify
4. Assign ABAP group Z_SID_BW_HANA to user
This is it.
