Hi Yogesh,

Thank you very much for your efforts.

I have built a SOLMAN 7.2 on Windows and SQL environment.

ABAP installed and Upgrade successfully, JAVA Installed, While I am trying to upgrade Java system getting issue like below.

Error Info:

The following error or errors have occurred during the execution of the current step:
Could not check status of SAP instance with number 33. Could not check if the instance number 33 on host 12-SOLMAN-01 is started. Sapcontrol client could not perform action wait for started on instance 33 Return code condition success evaluated to false for process sapcontrol for action wait for started.
For more information, see the files R:\SUM\sdt\log\SUM\RESTART-SYSTEM-JAVAONLY_04.LOG and ProcessOverview.html.
To troubleshoot the problem use the provided information. An SAP Note may provide a solution to this problem. Search for SAP Notes with the following keywords:
SUM  execute  component-deploy-710  restart-system-javaonly  com.sap.sdt.j2ee.services.servicesimpl.EngineControllerService  class com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DiagException
You may now do one of the following:
  • Repeat step from point of failure. After you have corrected the error, you can repeat the step from the exact point where the error occurred.

Hello,

Can you please check your SAP instance 33 logs ? I am not able to find anything in the logs you send me.

Try to start java instance manually and see if it works.

Thanks

Hello,

I have a problem with step: Check Cryptographic Files.

You just passed this step, but I have to define jar file for  SAPJVM 6.1.102. I downloaded unlimited JCE policy files from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-java-plat-419.... But Im still getting this error:

Provided archive /sapinst/_DVD/JavaJCEPolicy/jce/local_policy.jar contains only limited JCE policy files.

Please help.

Hello

We had the same issue, but we follow the note 1240081 - Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Jurisdiction Policy Files and it was fixed.

Hi gurus,

I'm getting this error after extracting release version DVD's while performing SolMan 7.2 SPS8 upgrade.

the error occured in phase "detect jCE policy"

A problem has occurred: com.sap.sdt.executor.exception.StepExecutionException: Problem while trying to execute operation on service detect-jce-policy. The following problem has occurred java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException. CSN Component BC-UPG-TLS-TLJ.
/usr/sap/POS/DVEBMGS00/exe/sapjvm_7/jre/lib/security in not a directory.

I have a JVM 4.1. but for some reason, SUM picked JVM as sapjvm_7 in exe directory. which it is not present.

please guide, how do i go about it.

regards

Dilkush
