Missing RCA Extractor for BOE 4.1 in Solman 7.1 SP14

Symptom

You want to setup Root Cause Analysis for the product SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise BI Platform 4.1 with Solution Manager Version 7.10.

1. However,the main parts of RCA extractors for BOE 4.1 are missing in Solution Manager 7.1 up to and including SP14. You can only see several extractors.

2. Root Cause Analysis -> End to End Analysis -> Workload Analysis for BI Platform 4.1 returns error value "Name" for variable "E2E Metric Type Variable" is invalid after clicking loading data from business warehouse -> execute (even through the data is shown in Wily EM)

3. No perform data is collected with EWA for BI Platform.

*Before the configuration of managed system setup, please upload the latest config.xml from note 1259109 - Latest version of configuration file for E2E CA, EA, WA.

*Before the configuration of managed system setup, please upload the new extractors for 4.1 from note 1849781 - Missing RCA Extractor for BOE 4.1 in Solman7.1 up to and including SP13.

*Before the configurtaion of managed system setup, please upload the latest CV template for 4.1 (BOE_CVs.zip) from the following notes (before sp12):

Since all prerequisite mentioned in note 1849781 have been done for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP14, maybe there is still something missing within extractors for BI.

Solution

With the help from development support of SAP AGS, the final solution is to upload Extractor_BOE410_new.zip valid for SP13 within note 1849781 into SAP Solution Manger even through it does not mention SP14 (they will update this note recently).

Steps:

1. upload the file

Solution Manager --> Solution Managaer Administration --> Infrastructure --> Content--> Root Cause Analysis --> Extractors --> Expert Mode --> (change<-->display button) (pencil && glasses icon on the left) --> Choose File --> Upload -->  (change<-->display button) (pencil && glasses icon on the left)

2. go back to the Managed System setup of BI Platform, re-execute the step6 "Extractors Setup".

After uploading, the extractors for BI Platform are created and performance data is shown in RCA.

Additional informaiton:

1962864 - Web Intelligence, Connection Server, and other C++ based BOE server metrics do not show up...

2044198 - "Value "Name" for variable "E2E Metric Type Variable" is invalid" and "No Applicable Data ...
