SAP HANA is a flexible, high-performance analytics appliance, which can analyze large volumes of data in real time. This in-memory computing appliance from IBM and SAP is based on IBM eX5 and X6 flagship systems, IBM's General Parallel File System (GPFS), SUSE Linux and the SAP HANA software. In-memory computing is a technology that allows the processing of massive quantities of data in main memory to provide immediate results from analysis and transaction.
