SAP announced S/4HANA for customers looking to unify SAP capabilities for real-time transactions and analytics. These new features, often adopted to support customer mission-critical applications require a robust and enterprise strengthened infrastructure that is always available and ready to be provisioned and deployed to meet rapid changing needs as business volumes grow.
If you are attending SAP TechED in Las Vegas, there are lots of opportunities to hear customer experiences migrating to HANA. Across the street at MGM will be the IBM Edge (September 19 – 22) conference. If you are attending, make sure you hear how customers architected their optimized platform for different environments like datacenter or cloud deployments. This year there are 21 sessions devoted to SAP HANA. These sessions will be delivered by customers, business partners, IBMers and SAP, which is nice mix of perspectives. I will be attending several sessions as I am looking forward to topics on Cloud, Flash, anyDB to HANA migration options and more. Take note, and include some HANA sessions in your schedule.
Would like to invite you to attend my EDGE session, session #PAD-1658, on Thursday morning (11 am – 12 pm) titled “Technical and Financial Benefits of Running SAP HANA on IBM POWER8 versus Intel”. Here I will deliver an in-depth discussion on how POWER8 technology is the optimal platform for SAP S/4HANA delivering the greatest flexibility, reliability and performance at the lowest Total Cost of Acquisition while contrasting it against the technical & financial features of Intel solutions.
