This was an ASUG webcast the other week, with a focus on BI (not predictive, HANA)

Everyone's contract is different

There have been multiple BI license models over time

Figure 3 shows the context of BI license models; SAP has previously had add-on models

SAP has moved to suite style licensing

Differences in BI suite license over on the right including Desktop and Lumira Server

There is no obligation or requirement to convert licensing

SAP wants to be transparent in license models

License models are non-version specific

SAP no longer sells CPU licenses to new customers but to existing

NUL stands for named user license – for managers, power users, most desktop tools

CSBL are for casual users that don’t require guaranteed

In the CMC configure NUL or Concurrent

It is still one session if navigating between sessions

Figure 8 shows SAP is moving away from CPU based licenses because they wanted to remove from constraints
