This blog post introduces the features of the SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.15 release available for SAP Analytics Cloud FastTrack customers. For SAP Analytics Cloud Quarterly Release Cycle (QRC) customers, this release and its features will be available as part of the QRC Q3 2024 release. View the QRC release schedule here.
Although not required, you may upgrade to the latest SAP Analytics Cloud agent version 1.0.409 to take advantage of all data acquisition types.
The agent’s minimum version remains at 1.0.75, with the following exceptions:

Please download the latest version of the Simple Deployment Kit from Software Center.
Note: To avoid downloading older versions and potentially exposing users to a vulnerable bundling of the Cloud Connector with SAPJVM, or Apache Tomcat, only the three latest versions of the kits are available to download.

To provide Just Ask admins with more granular control over access, the following permissions have been implemented:
Data connections to Salesforce are no longer supported. To import data from Salesforce systems, use the SQL Database connection using JDBC or APOS Live Data Gateway for Acquired Connections. See SAP Note 3402695.
In composite tasks, the functions “decline()” and “canUserDecline()” that were already available for assignees of composite tasks, are now also available for reviewers of composite tasks. This way the API behaves consistently with the UI. Both assignees and reviewers can decline a task on the UI, and now also via stories or analytic applications that offer these functions via scripting.
In the optimized story experience, users can use the performance analysis tool in view time, which provides loading sequence, story statistics, and recommendations based on the assets in your story for you to analyze the story performance.
