SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025 is now available, bringing a fresh set of enhancements that make business intelligence more efficient, user-friendly, and future-proof. Whether you are an IT professional, a business user, or a decision-maker, BI 2025 offers powerful enhancements designed to help you make faster and more informed decisions.
This release isn’t just about new features; it’s about ensuring your BI platform remains secure, flexible, and ready for the future.
One of the most important aspects of SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025 is its continuous maintenance and support plan. SAP is committed to keeping BusinessObjects available both on-premise and as a managed cloud solution beyond 2030, giving businesses the flexibility to choose the deployment path that works best for them.
SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025 is not just another update—it represents a commitment to continuous innovation and support. Unlike previous versions, we are now moving toward a model of minor releases (BI 20xx) every 2 years, with a 6 to 8-week cumulative patch cycle during the 3 years of the mainstream maintenance, followed by a Customer-Specific Maintenance (CSM) period.
SAP has extended mainstream maintenance for BI 4.3 until the end of 2026, ensuring that businesses have ample time to transition smoothly, followed again by a Customer-Specific Maintenance (CSM) period.
Security remains a top priority, with ongoing cumulative patches to address critical and very high vulnerabilities (CVSS >= 7) for the first 12 months following the end of the mainstream maintenance.
Additionally, we transition away from Priority 1 (P1) fixes and from Service Packs for the Customer Specific Maintenance (CSM).
Altogether, this new approach ensures better security, continuous improvements, a more agile approach to keeping your BI environment secure and efficient, and a roadmap that aligns with your business strategy.

Known for its ease of use and powerful reporting capabilities, Web Intelligence has been taken to the next level with new dashboarding capabilities, a modernized interface, and expanded sharing capability.
BI 2025 introduces interactive dashboards, enabling users to engage with data dynamically. With new visualizations (widgets), a streamlined dashboard creation workflow, and optimized layouts for both desktop and mobile screens, reporting has never been more flexible. These enhancements make data storytelling easier and more impactful, ensuring decision-makers can extract meaningful insights quickly.
A major breakthrough in BI 2025 is Web Intelligence Document eXtract (WIDX), a new format that allows users to export and interact with dashboards offline. This means business users can access and explore dashboards without needing a direct connection to the BI platform. Whether working remotely, sharing insights externally, or needing offline access, WIDX makes dashboarding more accessible than ever.
BI 2025 brings a redesigned of the Web Intelligence interface, making it easier for both beginners and experts to create reports efficiently. Enhancements include improved layout formatting, simplified user interactions, and advanced formatting options via CSS scripting. The goal is clear: to make report generation easier, more intuitive, and more accessible to all users.
Beyond Web Intelligence, SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025 also improves the overall BI platform, focusing on efficiency and reliability. Migration projects are now easier and more cost-effective, preserving configurations during installations and reducing complex setup. Additionally, users can now pin KPIs and charts directly into the BI Launchpad tiles, ensuring faster access to critical insights without having to open multiple reports.
